The Kenyon Martin signing seems to signal the Knicks are concerned Marcus Camby and Rasheed Wallace won’t
be able to help them much – if at all – this season.
Mike Woodson said Camby scrimmaged a little yesterday and that Wallace ran.
Glen Grunwald was asked about both veterans during the conference call announcing the Ronnie Brewer trade.
“They’re making progress,” Grunwald said. “Marcus practiced a little bit [yesterday]. He’s got an injury he should be able to come back from. But it’s one of those injuries that’s tricky to predict how a player can react to it. Same with Rasheed.
“In a sense, this is a little bit of insurance. We’re also expecting both Rasheed and Marcus to come back and be able to play this year.”
