When we jump on Facebook every day, 150 million of us are pretending to be busy when really, we're busy trolling FB Pages to find stuff that's cool. But the problem with the really-cool stuff is that the more indie it is, the more the cool-wannabe & the cool-stuff are likely never to meet. This dilemma is something Seth Godin pointed out in the Feb.'13 issue of Entrepreneur: if a social-tribe is really well hidden, you don't find them, they find you. Graph Search only works when all information is viewed through the lens of links - rather than discriminating or charging differentially by user, content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment or modes of communication. And by ensuring more net neutrality plus helping people find stuff that's relevant to them they might not have otherwise (it can be hard for us small-guy bloggers to be heard over the din & commotion of the huge brand me$$ages), it made me think that this Graph Search is good for indie Fashion & Lifestyle bloggers like yours truly. And that, to quote my fave maven, Martha Stewart, is a good thing.
