Artists function as our canaries in the modern mineshaft of Pop Culture, particularly when something they create strikes enough of a nerve for people to blog it (Blogging. It's the new Talking.) This porcine portrait of a smoking humanimal is part of "A Mask Project" by Turkish photographer Cansu Turan. Regardless of whether you think this piece weird, sublime, merely interesting or complete crap, the fact that it's resonating in some way with the masses which is what matters to me when I don my own Pop-Culture-Trend-Braille'ing Mask.
