(In the 19th century, the Ohio city's prevalent meatpacking industry had critics dubbing the joint "Porkopolis", which prompted Cincinnati enthusiasts to add some wings & adopt as a symbol of civic pride.) Citizens turned out en masse, hand-lettered signs & petitions at the ready, and the city council finally agreed to let these pigs fly.
