More proof that Fox News is a "wing of the Republican Party."
A day after Fox News took offense at military expert Thomas Ricks for suggesting that Fox News has acted like a "wing of the Republican Party," a Fox News host asked a question worthy of a member of a "wing of the Republican Party."
Today, host Martha MacCallum was interviewing (that's what they called it, anyway) Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, hounding him as to why Democrats don't want to raise the Medicare age.
Van Hollen, to his credit, as prepared for the quetions, and cited surveys and studies that showed there were other ways to extend the viability of the program beyond 2023.
The absolutely incompetent, biased host used the "people are living longer" argument, the "people are losing services because doctors aren't taking Medicare" argument, and several other previously debunked arguments. Van Hollen debunked them all, but she kept on pushing it.
Look, folks. Medicare doesn't add one dime to the deficit. NOT ONE. Obamacare makes Medicare viable until 2023. Not only that, but how happy will private insurers be to have to cover people several years longer? They're already going to have a conniption when they have to cover everyone under Obamacare. How happy do you think they'll be to take on a bunch of seniors they currently don't have to cover?
