A clear trend is developing. Romney's negative ads target some of Obama's core constituencies (Latinos, etc.) convincing them to abandon their candidate. And Obama's ads are convincing the group he's most vulnerable with (working-class whites) that Romney is unpalatable.
If negative advertising ends up depressing turnout, who wins? Likely the candidate whose voters are less disenchanted by all the ads. Quite an election...
