I am more disturbed by Lindsey Graham now than before his meeting with Susan Rice...
Lindsay Graham held a meeting with UN Ambassador Susan Rice and acting CIA Director Michael Morell this morning, and came out of it claiming he was "more disturbed now than I was before that the September 16 explanation of" the Benghazi attacks. He claimed her comments at the time, suggesting the attack may have resulted from spontaneous riots over an anti-Muslim video, were "disconnected from reality."
I find the entire Republican tack on the Benghazi incident morally reprehensible and the players repugnant. First, they claim they want answers, but then when someone gives them answers, they act even more disgusted than before. That's because Thomas Ricks was right; the only controversy in this is the one being ginned up by Republicans, looking for political points and "street cred" with the Fox News crowd.
But here's the thing. NO ONE knew everything about what happened that night, and they still don't today. Graham says he won't vote for Rice based on this, but what he fails to note is that she doesn't need his or McCain's votes, anyway. And if she does well at her hearings, they won't even be able to block it.
They all really have to stop making political hay out of Benghazi. It's nothing short of despicable.
