Rangers starter Colby Lewis today became the first pitcher to ever allow at least five homers and also strike out at least 10 hitters in a start. In addition, he became the second pitcher, joining the Rangers Charlie Hough (who did it in 1989) to allow all five of his hits in a game to be homers while pitching at least 6 IP. Lewis went 7, struck out a career high 12 and, at one point, retired 18 consecutive hitters.
