In a victory for common sense jurisprudence, Judge Edward Davila threw out a class action suit over broken iPhones.
The suit claimed Apple had misrepresented the strength of the iPhone's glass and was brought by Betsalel Williamson after he knocked his iPhone to the ground and the back glass broke.
But the judge said, "A “reasonable consumer”...would not be misled to believe the iPhone 4 could withstand any particular level of impact..."
He did leave room for the plaintiffs to amend the complaint so they could specifically show how Apple had deceived them.
