The Colorado Rockies housecleaning of useful-and-inexpensive players continued with their trade of Seth Smith, who was make superfluous by the Rockies acquisition of the barely-superior Michael Cuddyer (although to be fair, Cuddyer IS much more expensive and older). Smith is now with the As, which will make his bat look, well, not nearly as good. At least Billy Beane appreciates a bargain. The As did not give up much, unless you think Josh Outman still has something on tap.
