Some numbers to keep in mind with Clayton Kershaw starting for the #Dodgers Saturday in Pittsburgh:
Kershaw has an NL-low 1.88 ERA, a 0.98 WHIP and has held opposing batters to a .195 batting average.
But he is just 5-4 and the Dodgers are only 7-7 in his 14 starts because of their inability to give him any run support.
During his 100 1/3 innings this season, the Dodgers have scored just 30 runs – and three of those were scored by Kershaw himself. They have scored three or less (total, not just when he was in the game) in 11 of his 14 starts.
Most shocking -- Kershaw really has had to be nearly perfect in order to get a win.
In his five victories, Kershaw has allowed one run in 41 2/3 innings.
