With the White Sox reportedly moving infielder Osvaldo Martinez to the Dodgers for cash considerations, they have only 23-year-old right-hander Jhan Marinez left from the transaction that allowed Ozzie Guillen to jump to the Marlins with one year left on his contract. Martinez has been seen as a possible second-base option when the deal was done but continued the decline that began when he reached the big leagues in 2010. He was hitting .178 for Triple-A Charlotte when he was DFA-ed. Marinez could surface in Chicago at some point.
