#Dodgers mgr Don Mattingly said decision to start Nolasco was made "about the 3rd inning" last night after much
thought, and much flip-flopping. At that point, he decided it would be Nolasco whether the Dodgers were down 2-1 or 3-0.
"I just didn't feel good about doing it," Mattingly said of starting Zack Greinke on 3 days' rest. "When Clayton (Kershaw) kind of came to us the other time (in the NLDS), the feeling was this was a no-brainer. I didn't feel the same about it this time."
Followed up on that and asked why it didn't feel right.
"You know -- I don't know how to explain it," Mattingly said. "It just didn't feel right.
"For me, the decision came down to Zack. I wasn't going to let him go out there and not compete the way an ace pitcher should compete."
