Veteran big men Louis Amundson & Anthony Tolliver, who held out late in free agency, will end up with big pay cuts.
Amundson, who made $2.4 million last season with Indiana, will sign a one-year minimum deal with Minnesota for $1.07 million. Tolliver, who made $2.05 million last season with the Timberwolves, said he’ll sign with Atlanta, Phoenix or Minnesota on a one-year minimum deal. That would be worth $915,852.
NBA teams are being very careful in this new economy, especially with the more punitive luxury tax arriving in 2013-14.
