I'm not about to argue for more playing time for James White, not after wondering aloud why he was starting for the
Knicks in recent weeks.
But it's hard to understand how Mike Woodson shuffles the lineup and minutes at times and this is the latest example. After arguing that he was serving a purpose and he was keeping him in the lineup, Woodson pulled him from the starting lineup Thursday in Portland - when he was without Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler, two starters.
But he didn't just remove him from the lineup, but didn't play him a minute even as the game turned into a blowout down the stretch. Also, I'm not a believer in plus/minus, but if you are, White was one of only two players in the plus category the night before, along with Pablo Prigioni.
