Tyreke Evans is back in the starting lineup at shooting guard when the #NBAKings host the Cavs tomorrow:
Smart on if he's had conversations with his team about the changes to come now that they have a full roster.
"I think everybody on our team knows that Tyreke is the starter. I already had clarified that Marcus Thornton was going to be coming off the bench unless something was happening up in front of him, so they all knew that part. So as guys started coming back, they know that Tyreke is our starting off guard and now we gotta get his conditioning back up to where he can play at the level he had been playing at."
Smart also wonders what could've been had Evans not gotten hurt.
"I mean the guy had been playing at a great level for our team at that time. And I thought had he not gotten hurt, how far along would he have been?"
Smart on why Evans came off the bench for three games in his return from left knee soreness.
"The conversation that Tyreke was having all the time was that 'Hey, let Francisco (Garcia) continue to start. I'm not there yet, so let him start.' And so it was good on his part to keep doing that because he knows his body. The athlete knows his body and what he can do and can't do at that time."
