Dwight Howard gushed plenty about Houston, particularly Kevin McHale
"One thing that intrigued me about Houston is their coach and how he talked about really pushing me to be to where I need to be," Howard said. "That was really intriguing to me. That was something that I enjoyed doing. I'm going to have somebody push me to the limit."
"He's going to hold me accountable," Howard said. "We talked today and the biggest thing he said he's going to hold me accountable and have me lead this team. I'm looking forward to the opportunity. I think I'm the oldest youngest vet in the NBA. I'm 27 and everyone else is 25. I think it's going to be a lot of fun."
What did Dwight take away with his meeting in Houston?
"I like the direction they were headed," Howard said. "I can't say every team didn't have a great presentation because they did. I came into the meetings with an open mind. It wasn't ahome run about Houston. I was very open minded in every meeting. I took notes and wrote down 3 pages worth of questions I asked each team. I was looking forward to this time and took this seriously. I dressed up for every meeting like it was a business meeting and it was very important. This wasn't a cake walk. Every team made it tough. After each meeting, I felt I wanted to play for each team during the season."
