Tracy McGrady is heading to China. He'll sign a one-year deal with Qingdao of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Tracy McGrady wanted to play in the NBA this season, but couldn't secure a guaranteed deal so he'll take his talents to China. He's expected to sign a one-year deal with Qingdao in the coming days. He could still sign with an NBA team once the CBA season is over in several months.
The 33-year-old is extremely popular in China due in large part to his stint with the Houston Rockets, when he played alongside Yao Ming. McGrady will be able to pursue plenty of off-court opportunities and endorsements in China, just like Stephon Marbury in recent years.
