Report that Derrick Rose has been cleared to play "but is not ready" makes no sense. He was cleared weeks ago by
doctors to play 5-on-5 with the team. Being ready to play in an NBA game doesn't require a second level of clearance. It's still all about Rose feeling confident on his left knee to the point he doesn't think about it. That's always been the case. It's also about the wisdom of ramping from practice to regular-season games to playoff games in short order or giving him a summer, training camp and normal run-up and what would be best for the long-term health of his knee. The report, however, makes it look as if Rose could be playing and is depriving the Bulls of his services. And, again, I have to wonder why the Bulls would allow such a report that puts their superstar in that light go without a response; unless, of course, it's warranted, which nothing I've heard or know about Derrick indicates that it is.
