The PL realised it had a new star today: Oscar. But could a Brazil team mate be Chelsea's transfer trump card?
With a classy goalscoring performance for Brazil in the Olympics: quite a few observers have remarked, regardless of club loyalties, what a bargain Chelsea have picked up in Oscar.
But another, even brighter star of today's match against Belarus has been the focus of Chelsea's interest for a number of years: Neymar.
Chelsea have made little secret of their interest in Santos forward: indeed they have been heavily linked with the 20-year-old in each of the last two summers.
Neymar has remained in his home country, with no lesser luminaries than Pele saying it is the best thing for the development of a young player not to venture too far away.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have now joined the throng in pursuit of the young star's signature.
