@danpompei Is Richard Seymour a viable option at DT for the Bears at this point?... My take:
It depends how desperate the Bears get. If the Bears felt he were a great option, he would have been at Halas Hall two weeks ago, or maybe two months ago. At 33, Seymour is not the same player he may be in our minds. I've talked with people in the league about him, and they tell me Seymour might be on cruise control at this point of his career. If that's the case, he might not fit in very well with the culture at Halas Hall. No team wants to bring in a respected veteran who cuts corners, because that sends the message to others that it's OK to cut corners. But, hey, if he can get after the quarterback, the Bears might be able to look past some things.
