The next two Sundays we have a case of the Reds and Bengals not being at home at the same time. Oct. 21 could be another matter.
If the Reds advanced to the National League Championship Series and were the higher seed, Game 6 would be the day of the Steelers game, which is a night game on NBC at 8:20 p.m. In other words, that game is not getting moved.
If the American League Championship Series did not go the full seven games, the possibility exists that the Reds and Bengals could be playing at home at the same time. If it went the full seven, the NLCS would be a 4 or 4:30 start on Fox. If it was the only game, Fox could air it in prime time.
And yes, both parties -- Reds and Bengals -- are aware of this.
