So if Dansby would sign with Bengals, where do you play him?
It is an interesting question, but he does have plenty of versatility in a 4-3 defense and can play all three spots.
During his first three years in Arizona, he played the SAM and then moved to WIL for two years. Arizona went to a 3-4 in 2009 and he has been an inside linebacker ever since.
Dansby signed with Miami in 2010 and was an inside backer in a 3-4. When former Bengals secondary coach Kevin Coyle was hired as the Fins defensive coordinator last year, Miami went to a 4-3 and Dansby was a middle linebacker.
In other words, if Marvin Lewis is to be believed about keeping things the way they are, it could be Dansby at SAM, Maualuga in the middle and Burfict at WIL.
