Pat McManamon's post on Cleveland Browns | Latest updates on Sulia
Rob Chudzinski addressed Brandon Weeden a little more at the NFL Scouting Combine. What did he say?
The Browns coach had a few more positives about Weeden, but he’s still reluctant to say too much about him.
The line now is Chudzinski likes some of what he sees of Weeden on tape, but he has to see him on the field.
Chudzinski said he’s “excited” about what he saw, but added: “Tape tells a very small part of the story.”
He said Weeden has a good arm and can make all the throws, and he had a “good, calm, poised demeanor” in the pocket. His main issue with Weeden: Inconsistency.
Chudzinski just has to see him on the field.
As for the owner’s statement that there will be competition at quarterback, Chudzinski fell back to the old line that competition makes everyone better.
Make of that what you will.
