There is a leader in the race for the #Cavs backup point guard
But Byron Scott won't say who it is. Asked if either Donald Sloan or Jeremy Pargo was ahead of the other, Scott said "a little bit" but wouldn't elaborate on who it is.
"Quite frankly, (Sloan) has done a better job of running the offense when he's been in there," Scott said when asked about the strengths of both Sloan and Pargo. "Jeremy's strengths are his communication and toughness and he's learning how to run the offense."
Scott has made it clear since the start of camp he is not opposed to carrying three point guards on the roster, but he seems more inclined to keep either Pargo or Sloan.
"I still think that I could (carry three point guards), but I’m not sure that I will," he said. "I’ve got plenty of time to think about that."
The Cavs aren't expected to make their final two roster cuts until after their final preseason game (Oct. 23).
