Anderson Varejao says his knee is improving, but he expects to miss another week.
"I want to be back tomorrow, but I know it’s not possible," he said tonight. "But hopefully another week. That would be perfect for me."
He has already been ruled out of tomorrow's game against Brooklyn. Based on his timeline, he'd also miss the Jan. 2 game against Sacramento and he'd be questionable for the Jan. 4 game at Charlotte.
Varejao said he's fine shooting and running on the treadmill, but the knee is still sore and lacks some mobility.
"I can do most of the stuff, the only thing that really hurts is when I try to bend or push off," he said. "That’s when I get the sharp pain. Overall it’s fine to walk around and do basic stuff."
