West to meet with Mavs brass today

DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West will meet with coach Rick Carlisle and general manager Donnie Nelson later today to discuss an outburst he had in the locker room following Monday's game at American Airlines Center against the Houston Rockets. The Mavs suspended West following the incident for "conduct detrimental to the team,'' according to Carlisle. But they plan to get to the bottom of the situation today. "He's been suspended and we're going to talk to him today a little bit later -- Donnie and I are -- and hopefully get it resolved quickly,'' Carlisle said this afternoon. "It was a conduct issue and we're addressing it.'' Asked if West's outburst was something that has been brewing, Carlisle said: "I don't think that that's something that's appropiate to get into.
