Bengals safety Taylor Mays returned to the practice field on Monday after suffering a concussion in last Friday's win over the Jets. Mays was cleared on Sunday but was held out of that practice just to make sure everything was OK.
Mays said this was only his second concussion in the past five years.
"I think I've been fortunate for some of the hits that I've had in my career. Coach Zimmer has been on me about lowering my strike zone and not going for the big hit and going for the right thing," he said.
When asked how his training camp is going, Mays said: "I feel good on a day-to-day basis really with the calls and what Zim wants me to do. Even coming from spring to now I feel significantly better."
