Andrew Bogut update: From not too concerned to reaching out to Dr. Ferkel...
Center Andrew Bogut did not get an x-ray on his sprained left ankle, which was said to be a sign this latest incident wasn't serious. But on Friday, it was serious enough to warrant an MRI.
The team reviewed the results and concluded Bogut is suffering from a bone bruise. However, the Warriors sent the results to Dr. Richard Ferkel, who performed arthroscopic and micro fracture surgery on the same ankle a year ago.
The Warriors are awaiting Ferkel's input. In the meantime, Bogut is officially listed as day-to-day.
It's still unclear how Bogut sustained the injury. All a Warriors official could say was he felt discomfort in it on Tuesday, when he played 30 minutes in the playoff clinching win over Minnesota. He then tried to play on it on Thursday but lasted just 9:05 before being pulled for good.
