#Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, reflecting on the first half of the season:
"I viewed the season coming in, I felt the first four weeks were going to be a big challenge for a number of different reasons – the four opponents and then obviously how the schedule lined up. That held true with the fact we were 2-2 through our first four games and then we had the tough loss in Indianapolis. I felt the last four weeks, we not only won games, but there’s been areas of improvement. The continuity might not be quite where you want it to be, but also the flipside of that is that it’s a credit to our players because we had a number of changes in lineups that our players have been able to adjust to. Yesterday’s game was a little bit of microcosm of our season so far where there were so many adjustments throughout the four quarters, but we were still able to walk off the field with a two touchdown victory. That’s where we are today, 6-3. Hopefully, we can get healthy in the next two weeks. We won’t be totally healthy. That’s the reality of it, but we have to get ready for these division games. To me, this is a whole different season. Division games are different. We were fortunate to sweep the division last year. There’s comparables and studies that we’ve done that we’ll share with the players, some areas that we’re going to highlight. But every year is different and it’s important that our approach to these division games are consistent and we play these games the right way."
