Cesc will be at Barcelona next season and Barcelona WILL NOT sell him. It doesn't get any more definitive than this
Despite all manner of rumours and counter rumours over his future, Cesc Fabregas will NOT be moving to Arsenal or Manchester United at the end of the season. Not only he is willing to stay one more year at the Catalan club, sources from the club confirm that they have no intention whatsover to sell the player. None whatsoever. Despite the interest from Premier League clubs, this saga is over.
A product of La Masia, the club’s academy, Cesc left Barcelona to join Arsenal aged just 16 where he became a Gunners legend over the next eight seasons. Now in his second season with Barcelona, Cesc re-joined his spiritual home in August 2011 for a fee estimated to be around £30 million after long, drawn out negotiations between the two clubs.
It hasn’t all been plain sailing for the Catalan midfielder since his return. Whistled by a section of the Camp Nou crowd Cesc has on occasions found it difficult to live up to the expectations many had of him and his exclusion from some of the really big games has also fuelled speculation about his future.
And with two European Championships and a World Cup win under his belt there is no doubt that he feels that he still has much to offer his boyhood club, at least for another season. Who knows what will happen then, but for now Cesc Fabregas is not going anywhere which is bad news for all those Arsenal fans that were licking their lips at the prospect of a Fabregas, Wilshere, Cazorla line-up in midfield.
