WTF NEWS: Siblings Deny They Were Trying To Steal Television From Bar Instead They Insist They Were Just Having Sex

Robert, 38, and Amanda Larrivee, 30, were arrested on October 14, 2012 for allegedly trying to steal televisions from a Springfield, MA bar. They were observed entering a bathroom and started “ripping the television off the wall.” Employees locked the pair in the bathroom until police arrived. In offering a defense that may actually be far worse than the crime alleged, the siblings claimed that they were not trying to steal the television; rather, they were just having sex. Not sure what the punishment in Massachusetts is for stealing a television, but the punishment for incest is up to 20 years in prison. Thankfully, investigators found evidence at the scene that the television had indeed been forcibly removed from the wall. There is no indication whether any evidence of sexual activity had also been discovered.
