Giants' GM Jerry Reese talked Monday about trying to take the emotion out of player evaluation.

"It’s never personal, guys. We evaluate everybody. There’s going to be changes. There’s changes every year. It’s part of the business. There are some guys…that’s probably the hardest part of my job. I’ve said this to you guys many times that when you have to go in there and tell people like David Tyree or Amani Toomer, guys like that, “OK, we’re going to go a different direction,” that’s always hard to do. That’s my job. That’s what I have to do and when it’s time to move on for players and go a different direction, we have to do that, but it’s never personal. It is a hard part of my job."
