Where is Terrell Thomas in his rehab and when will he be ready? Here’s a detailed answer that didn’t make my story…
“I’m at 5 months post-surgery (right now), not behind schedule at all, but kind of taking it a lot slower being that it’s my third (torn ACL)," Thomas told the Daily News. "Don’t want any swelling. Don’t want any setbacks. I’ve been running for the last two weeks. Today (when I interviewed him two weeks ago) I worked more on change of direction, stop and go. I’m full squatting, all back in my range. I’m not really limited in most ways.
“Movement-wise (my knee) is picking up as we speak. I do a lot of work in the pool. I was sprinting in the pool about 40% body weight, and really just taking it slow, giving my knee a good amount of time to heal and for the patella tendon to mesh with my body and get all the swelling and tendonitis out of the way.”
“Right now I’m progressing. I should be able to do everything during OTAs and minicamps. Obviously, just like last year, they held me out for precautionary measure, but I definitely want to get my feet wet a little bit early.”
