Rookie WR Rueben Randle was targeted three times for zero receptions on Sunday. “Based on the week before, we felt like he could contribute,” Coughlin said of Randle’s two catches for 68 yards against the Cowboys. One of the targets on Sunday was a fade in the end zone in which Randle did not appear to be aggressive going after the ball. Coughlin said it was just a poor route. “I think technically he was wrong on a couple of occasions, but I didn’t see any reason to think that he didn’t compete.”
