Jim Dolan and the New York Knicks could bring free agency to a screeching halt on June 30 if they go to court and seek a temporary restraining order banning free agent negotiations. Why would they do such a thing? Because they are in limbo more than any other NBA team after the league announced it would appeal arbitrator Kenneth Dam's decision in the Jeremy Lin/Steve Novak/Chauncey Billups/JJ Hickson case, in which the players were deemed to have full Bird rights.
