Mike Woodson made passing reference to Jason Kidd ultimately returning to bench soon after Raymond Felton returns
to lineup. Many of the writers were around Carmelo Anthony at the time of the statement as Melo tried to sneak out the exit door after practice yesterday, so there was no followup. If Kidd goes back to bench, Woodson could be thinking against the smallball lineup that has Melo at the 4. That means he soon could be ready to get Stoudemire back as starting 4. There are other options that would still keep Melo at the 4 - Brewer, Copeland - but that might be tough to pull off politically. Was surprised Woodson doesn't want to see Kidd and Felton pair up again. There is no timetable for Kidd to return to the bench but it looks like Woodson's master plan is to go the traditional route.
