Raymond Felton discarded the padding he wore on his bruised left hand at halftime last night. Will we see it again?
Probably not.
Felton said he "had to take it off" after struggling with his shooting in the first half against the Bobcats.
"It was bothering me," he said. "If I get hit on it with the pad, it's going to hurt. If I get hit without the pad, it's going to hurt. So I said, 'Forget it'."
Afterward, Felton said the hand was "sore." On the second play of the game, he felt a jolt of pain when he delfected a pass on defense with the left hand.
Felton faces a Heat team tonight that has its own injury issues at point guard. Mario Chalmers is expected to miss the game with a tendon issue in his finger. Meanwhile, Norris Cole has been dealing with a groin injury.
