J.R. Smith may not get his wish. Woodson said he doesn't know who starts at SG in Washington Thursday but sounded

like over the long haul, he prefers J.R. as Sixth Man. Over the weekend, J.R. Smith said he wanted to start this season - or at least until Iman Shumpert returns in December or January. But Woodson feels Smith can compete for Sixth Man of the Year because he needs bench scoring. Brewer is probably the lead candidate to start once he starts practice - perhaps as soon as a week.
