Carmelo Anthony hasn't been short on excuses as he reviews the past 2 1/2 weeks, blaming everything on the fluid in
his knee. This morning, he even harked back to the fourth quarter of the Miami game when LeBron took over the Garden and Melo wilted. "It was the Miami game, late in the fourth quarter,'' Anthony said when he first felt he was being effected by his swollen knee. "The next night in Cleveland, I woke up and it didn’t feel right. Then ever since that point, nothing felt right. I tried to take a couple of days off (3 games), trying to figure out what it was, maybe something that would go away on its own. But it didn’t. But I feel good right now.’’ At least there'll be no more excuses about the right knee, starting tonight vs. Orlando. He says he's not rusty, says he's in good condition. Says he is confident the fluid won't come back - which would be a sign he does have cartilage issues.
