Marc Berman's post on New York Knicks | Latest updates on Sulia
Rumors were if #Knicks didn't snatch Kenyon Martin at trade deadline, Miami would have. That's news to Martin.
Kenyon said the Heat never called is agent Andy Miller. Martin said with his charming candor if the Heat did, he'd be in South Beach today. In fact, Martin was so desperate to play, he would've joined the Bobcats if they made the first offer. It was first come, first served.
Last time Knicks were in Toronto last month was the day they had come to terms with Kenyon. Woodson wasn't overly optimistic, saying it will be a good signing if "he has anything left in the tank.'' He sure does. Martin last night was 9 for 9 until a last-minute miss. He finished with 19 points and 11 boards and a ton of grit. He's the starting center until Tyson Chandler gets back, whenever that is. "He stepped up big-time for us,'' Woodson said. "He’s scoring, rebounding the ball, had a few blocks. He did a little bit everything.’’
