Carmelo Anthony’s hyperextended left knee started bothering him in the second half last night. But he said
“It was just a matter of me trying to get through it and not even think about it.”
Anthony only thought about what he had to do to win the game, and he scored 16 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Knicks over Orlando.
He also heard the obligatory MVP chants when he went to the line – in Orlando.
“It feels good,” Anthony said. “It feels good to hear it. Of course to hear it as loud, I wasn’t expecting that on the road here in Orlando. That was a special moment. If we keep doing what we’re doing, ain’t no telling what can happen.”
