Jason Kidd's retirement statement:
"My time in professional basketball has been an incredible journey, but one that must come to an end after 19 years," Kidd said in a statement released by the Knicks today.
"As I reflect on my time with the four teams I represented in the NBA, I look back fondly at every season and thank each and every one of my teammates and coaches that joined me on the court."
Kidd, an NBA champion, 10-time all-star, five-time All-NBA first team selection and two-time Olympic gold medalist, finished his Hall of Fame career ranked second on the NBA all-time list in assists (12,091) and steals (2,684) and third in three-pointers made (1,988). He also had the third-most triple-doubles in NBA history (107) and had the most rebounds of any guard in league history (8,725).
