After having Eddy Curry for a year (and winning him a ring), Heat eyeing yet another former Knick big man:
The Knicks didn't want to part ways with Josh Harrellson, but the Houston Rockets insisted on having him in the sign-and-trade for Marcus Camby. Why? Houston only turned around and waived him shortly after the deal. If they had no intention of keeping Harrellson, why did the Rockets insist on having him in the deal? CBA rules forbid the Knicks from re-signing Jorts, a very likable second round pick who proved to have value as a depth big man, for a full year. The Heat, always looking for frontcourt help, have brought Harrellson in for a mini-camp workout this week. Meanwhile, the Knicks are still monitoring free agency for a backup power forward to fill a role left vacant when Harrellson was dealt.
