Rivalry? What rivalry. Tyson Chandler isn't feeling any #Knicks-#Nets rivalry after Carmelo Anthony went for 31
points in the Knicks' 100-86 victory Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
"It's no different from playing them, Celtics, Philly, anybody else," Chandler said of the Nets after going for 16 points and 12 rebounds, including five alley-oop dunks that had the Garden rockin'.
At this point, the two teams are headed in opposite directions. The Knicks have won five of their last six games and 10 of 12, while Brooklyn (13-12) has dropped three straight and eight of 10.
The Knicks now own a 2-1 lead over the Nets in the season series, with one more game set for Jan. 21 at the Garden.
"It's two teams fighting within the division," Chandler said. "And tonight -- like I said -- we wanted to make a statement."
