Lou Amundson, who signed with the T-Wolves, had #Knicks high on his list. There was one issue that kept him away:
Amundson was concerned about being one of the last free agents standing this late in the offseason. With the reality of a veterans minimum staring him in the face, Amundson, a hustle, intangibles player best suited for a reserve role, knew he had to go where he can get enough burn to earn a better contract after this season. He wasn't going to get that role here in New York, not with Carmelo Anthony expecting to get ticks at power forward when Amar'e Stoudemire goes to the bench.
Amundson did have strong interest in playing in New York, but this wasn't the best opportunity for him, and his career, right now.
