#Eagles HC Andy Reid on the injury situation and Maclin:
Opening Remarks:
“[WR] Jeremy Maclin is out. [T] King Dunlap is out. [WR] Riley Cooper is out. Everybody else practiced today and are ready to go. Looking forward to the challenge of playing the Cardinals. We know they are a good football team. [It will be a] tough environment and our guys have had a good week of practice and are ready to go. We’re hopping on a plane here in a little bit as I’m sure some of you are so we’ve got to go fast and furious here. Time’s yours.”
On whether Maclin suffered a setback in his recovery from his hip injury:
“He didn’t really make any improvement from yesterday. We didn’t have him do much yesterday and he really didn’t make any improvements so we’re going to give him the week off here to make sure we get that thing back.”
On how much of a loss it is to the offense to not have Maclin playing on Sunday:
“He’s a good football player. The other guys have practiced and they’re ready to go. I’ve always said that if somebody misses then it’s another man’s opportunity. I expect the other guys to step up and play well.”
On how disappointed Maclin is that he is not playing on Sunday:
“No it’s not [the situation he wants to be in]. He wants to play but things happen. We just have to take a step back and let him heal up.”
On what the receiver situation will be on Sunday:
“We’re just mixing and matching so depending on what we want to do we’ve got people moving around a little bit.”
On whether T Demetress Bell will be starting in place of Dunlap:
“Dunlap is down so yeah it’s Bell.”
On how confident he is that Bell and C Dallas Reynolds can handle playing a full game on the road:
“I’ve got confidence in them but we’ve got to go do it. I want to see them go do it. I want to see them step up and play.”
On how confident he is that Bell will play well:
“Well he’s been there. He’s played before so this isn’t, as they say, his first rodeo. I expect him to go in and play, that’s what I expect him to do. I think he expects that out of himself.”
On whether he thinks Maclin’s injury will linger beyond this week:
“We’ll see. I think he’s going to be alright but we’ll see. He’s getting treatment and doing all those things. He’s staying back to get treatment and we’ll see how he does.”
