No sport suffers its own rules worse than hockey, which is constantly pining for possible changes. But baseball? Not nearly so much, barring the occasional fuss such as the national discussion today about home-plate collisions because of Josh Harrison's CLEAN shoulder into Yadier Molina. I love Molina as a player. He's the consummate catcher. But it's part of the page, and it's been that for 130 years. Want to stop it? Tell catchers to do swipe-tags. Or play another position.
