Steelers suspended TE Wes Saunders had no clue it was a 4-game suspension ...
Steelers tight end Wes Saunders recently found out that his suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs is 4 GAMES and not 4 WEEKS.
Saunders had no clue until a couple days ago when he made this post on Twitter: "1 game left of this 4 game suspension. Minor setback for a major comeback."
In fact, this is what he told me right before his suspension kicked in: "I lucked out with the bye week being the fourth game, but they still take that check. They get that, but at least I get to come back with my guys Week 5."
With the Steelers having a bye in Week 4, Saunders was under the impression he would be eligible to return to the team on Oct. 1. But the suspension is four GAMES, not four weeks. He will be back Oct. 8.
