Ben Golliver's post on Portland Trail Blazers | Latest updates on Sulia
Here's a digest version of what Blazers GM Neil Olshey had to say about his team's sign-and-trade with the Knicks on a Monday conference call: Olshey said that "it was clear Raymond [Felton] wasn't going to be returning to Portland" so team agreed to facilitate trade to acquire those assets. Trade was about acquiring assets (Jeffries, pick, two European plays). Jeffries is a great locker room guy, does the little things, can be a good mentor. There are "definitely issues" with his knees, which limited his play for the Knicks last season, but Olshey said reporters shouldn't be distracted by that fact and instead should focus on the assets. The two European players are currently under contract but "have value" around the league.
